Preparing Wedding Thank You Cards

Wedding thank you cards are typically mailed about a month after your wedding but no later than 3 months after. It's a good idea to send out thank you cards within 2 weeks of receiving any gifts before your wedding.

A personally handwritten thank you card is like a gift in itself to your guests showing them your sincere gratitude. You should use the same tone in your note as if you were thanking them in person. Black or blue ink should be used with the same ink being used for addressing the mailing envelopes so everything matches.


A wedding thank you card should be written and sent to everyone involved in your wedding, from the flower girl to the best man along with anyone who should receive your thanks.



If both the bride and groom share the responsibility of writing them together, it will lesson the task somewhat. You may also try writing some each day to make the task seem less intimidating.
