If you and your fiance will be hosting your own wedding, you will likely be listed as inviting your guests. As an option you can also generally reference your parents or list them by name if you so choose. Both ways are shown in a couple of the sample verses below.

Brown & Blue Wedding Invitations

Awash in Aqua Wedding Invitation
Today's couples have a myriad of beautiful choices when it comes their wedding invitations. Both blue and brown have become popular colors so how about blue brown wedding invitations. Light blue or aqua adds a soft touch that makes for a striking contrast against a warm mocha brown creating an unexpected rich color combination.

There are several ways to combine these two colors to create elegant invitations.

Dazzling Damask Wedding Invitation

This invitation equally combines the two colors in its modern design against a white background.

Chic Treat Wedding Invitation
Light aqua or blue wedding invitations provide a refreshing background for a rich brown ink imprint. This design happens to also come with a sleak chocolate wrap.

initial cake topMonograms have become quite popular when it comes to weddings. They can be used to accent everything from invitations to cake tops.

    Recycled Wedding Invitations

Many of today's couples are looking to be more eco-friendly in their wedding planning. Recycled wedding invitations are just the start to setting a 'green' theme for your wedding. Recycled means they are printed on a quality paper containing at least 30% post-consumer fibers.

There are now many beautiful recycled paper designs to choose from when it comes to your wedding invitations.

To focus even more on being earth friendly, how about choosing a nature theme for your recycled wedding invitations. It could be an actual nature photo or a design that symbolizes nature such as flowers, leaves, pinecones, birds, etc.

Then there is the color of your wedding invitation paper. Using recycled paper doesn't mean you have to sacrifice quality or style. Mocha is a classy looking color as pictured here in this stylish pocket invitation printed on recycled paper.

    Wedding Invitation Reminder List

Chances are you have a lot of things on your mind when it comes to your wedding planning including your invitations. Here are some things for you to remember as you plan, prepare and mail your wedding invitations.

    • Prepare your master guest list once you have gathered everyone's lists so you have an accurate number of wedding invitations you need. Be sure to include attendants, parents, the officiant, etc.
Remember, your invitation count will not exactly match the number of guests on your list since you will only mail one invitation to married couples.

    • Shop early so you can avoid paying for faster shipping methods and last-minute rushing.

    • When placing your order, be prepared with all the dates, times, names (correct spellings) and location addresses that will be printed on your invitations.

    • Order a few extras to prevent running out and having to order only a few more later at a higher per-invite cost. If available, order a few more envelopes to allow for addressing mistakes.

    • Have printed or handwrite a return address on the back flap of your mailing envelopes so any undeliverable invitations will be returned.

    • Enclose a response card if you need an accurate guest count for food and seating arrangements. Remember to include a postage stamp on your response card envelopes as a courtesy to your guests. If using a respond postcard, the stamp will go directly on the postcard and the postage will be less. Be sure to keep a copy of your guest list so you can check off names as their replies arrive.

    • Insert a direction or map card as a convenience for any guests who may not be familiar with the area of your wedding location.
